Creativity at its finest. Inventive pies with all the fixings of your local bodega (minus the adorable stray cat…). And switching the 40 for sangria? Another very nice touch.
VIBE: Casual, that date you picked up on Wall St might not appreciate it as much as we did, but the homies will enjoy.
DAMAGE: It’s cool for a splurge night, but unless your wallet has a little extra jiggle, it’s definitely not going to replace cheap Chinese in your weekly rotation – average pie cost is $15-16. In theory you can share a pie…but half of that flat bread Italian goodness isn’t going to fill your belly, you can easily throw an entire order down if you’re good at telling your subconscious to shut it with all the guilt about carbs. FYI: CASH ONLY (ATM on site – told you they were hooked up like a real corner store).
DIET DERAILERS: Options are a little scare here. Ok basically, you only have one option, a Nutella filled calzone with a side of Ice Cream. The calzone is great to look at, a bit thick on the dough and heavy handed on the Nutella…but that ice cream though…a simple flavor sure, but that vanilla ice cream makes the whole thing worth it. Hand made in the back so it’ll take a little time before it blesses your table but BOY OH BOY what I wouldn’t do to get another scoop on top! No way a quick cone from McDonald’s is ever going to do the trick again.
LAST BITE: Good pizza, great decor. We’d say its definitely worth a one time visit, but we’ll let you decide if you want to go back for more.
